Reconstructing

I'm almost 40,000 words into my novel now. Even with the outline, nothing has happened yet. I know that things are going to be happening. Soon. But so far I have 40,000 words of set up and generic relationships.

Because sometimes life throws your curveballs

And you have to be able to adapt. I've been sick since Saturday. Sore throat, chest congestion, bowling ball head, you know the kind. I still got my word count in on Saturday though. Yesterday I did not.

I get by with a little help from my friends..

This is a post about help. I don't normally accept help very well, and there are two reasons behind that. One: I feel awkward asking. I don't ever want to put someone else out so I would rather just do whatever it is myself then to have to ask someone to help me get it done.
And Two: I am a control freak. I will admit it. I like to do things myself because then I know they are done the way that I want them done.

Snow Day!

My husband enforced a snow day on me last night. We got a few inches of snow but the Chrysler 300 does NOT do well with any kind of precipitation so he took the Pilot to work and asked me to chill today. He reminded me that I am "very pregnant" and that sometimes I forget. Haha. True. He also stopped on his way home from work last night and picked me up a diet doctor pepper so that I would have absolutely NO reason to go out in it today. Love him!

Today!

Today was a huge day for me. I wrote 6,688 words! I did that along with all of my usual housework. Those who follow me on Twitter, got to watch my progress. Hopefully I wasn't too obnoxious! I also found a new band to be obsessed with, The Paper Kites. They are so fun!
