Refreshing!

Since I took a bit of a break, although not very long, I have had to refresh my brain on the story that I want to tell. That's tricky with a three week old, let me tell you. I don't have much time to read these days other than at our 3a feeding which is always really rough for her for some reason. I sit in my rocking chair and rock her back to sleep for a couple of hours and read the Kindle app on my phone.

Whew, this is going to be a fast one as these are my current working conditions.

I plan to do some actual writing as well today so I am hoping that she will cooperate with that.

Baby, Sleep Deprivation, Reading and Writing.

Baby Harper made her grand appearance on Monday March 11, at 6:43p. She was 8 pounds, 2 ounces, and 20 inches long and her daddy and I have been strung around her little finger ever since.

Communities.

Something that has been on my mind is community. Building a writing community to be more specific. A group of people who help each other, limping along toward the finish line. I have been working really hard in getting myself out there. Not that I need to be famous or even think that my writing is good enough to be noted. I'm just trying to surround myself with like minded people who I can help, and who can give me a helping hand when needed to achieve this goal.

Just write.

I need to take my own advice today. I have been obsessed with New Girl. Holy Lord is it a funny show. I have been feeling really overwhelmed and preoccupied lately so instead of writing I have been watching that and reading. That's definitely not going to help me to be productive.
